Fourth entry from our Elemental Design Team We have done Failure Diagnostics and thickness analysis on the part and it was found safe Loading test was conducted using ANSYS WORKBENCH 14.5 Modeling has been done using SOLIDWORKS 2013 Weight of the bracket is 2.07 pounds Original bracket weighs 4.61 pounds Percentage of Mass reduction is 55.09% Throughout the analysis we maintained the mesh element size of 0.08" tetrahedron geometry All tests show positive results of minimum Factor Of Safety greater than 1 at the negligible areas For reference I uploaded the JPEG images For your reference I uploaded STEP file Additional reference I uploaded the .sldprt file Please read the detailed document....
