Elemental Design

Finally we present our first design for your review. All the results are obtained by the 0.08 inch fine mesh (very accurate result) simulation using solidworks. The very important thing to notice in our design is the usage of “NOTCHES” near the interfaces 2 and 5 to reduce the stress concentration. All the interfaces except interface 1 are considered as fixed with the reference of “infinitely stiff” bolts. The existing hole diameter combination is better than other combinations. So we suggest to keep the hole diameters with the original model.
