I was in my local Wilko store recently and as always, I was looking for inspiration. During this visit I came across an elf door. I had heard of these, apparently you place them somewhere in your room and move things about each day to convince your kids that an elf is watching them, making sure they are good.
I didn’t want to make a door, there’s hundreds of them. How about then… a window???
This is a simple concept: stick the window to a wall, cupboard, self, whatever you want. I used blue tack. Then on day two attach the window box.
“Hay kids the elf has moved in”.
Open and close the windows randomly, then choose a day when the candy canes have grown. Finally: attach the foot, remove the canes and lay them down or hang them from the windows and place the bottle in the window box.
“Hay kids, the elf must have had one hell of a night last night”.
The window frame I printed with an infill of 20% and the smaller parts I used 80%
