EMS Backpack Sternum Strap Collar

I have two 16 year old Eastern Mountain Sports backpacks which at some point lost their poorly designed sternum straps. The shoulder straps each have a canvas covered wire (possibly) that acts as a guide and anchor point for the sternum strap.

I don't remember what the orignonals look like, but designed replacements to conform to that anchor point and it seems to work pretty well.
