Some minor DIY required - detailed instructions in last image.
The clip stops the exposed headstock strings (or pre-bridge string runs) from vibrating at unintended resonances relative to the played strings.
I suggest an X dimension of 60mm, this is fine for any string spacing up to 45mm - my Schecter km7 exposed headstock strings are total 41mm.
