This is a really simple plate to attach to a rotary encoder. The intended use is for the wheel to match the orientation of a FRC robot on the playing field. You can put your finger in one of the holes, and have the robot turn to match the angle of the wheel. 2 versions of the plate exist for either 6-hole or 4-hole mounts to the encoder. Also shown in the pictures:You will need to get the rotary encoder. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MZ4V1XPThe flange mount https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07R77ZGNNSpring for encoder is useful for preventing the encoder from spinning after you let go of it.UsbJoy is a USB joystick controller that can take an encoder as input and present it to Windows as an HID joystick device that the FRC DriverStation recognizes. Go ahead and build one yourself. FRC #2984 uses this design in their control panel.
