Complete replacement hot end adapter for the Ender 3 Belt conversion kit.
Designed to get the proper cooling to both the cold section and the parts.
Saves 49g of weight over the supplied mount and stock fan shroud.
Reuses existing hardware however the hot-end mount and cold-side cooling fan shroud require the use of heat-set brass 4x4x3mm inserts.
Parts cooling duct should be printed in ABS. Mounting plate and cold-side cooling shroud can be printed in PLA
Only part needing support is the cooling shroud if you choose to print it standing up. I have printed in both ways and prefer standing up for myself.
I printed the mount at .20 with 6 perimeters, 6 layers top and bottom with 33% infill.
Fan shroud and nozzle printed at .20 with 3 perimeters, 3 layers top and bottom and 10% infill.
Update 11.05.21 - Changed the geometry of the mounting plate to bring the parts cooling duct a little further off the belt. Changed the parts cooling duct slightly to improve airflo
