This spool mount relocates the spool to the lower side position on the machine, for optimal filamment routing into the extruder. I wanted to try a design that utilizes 4 T slots for maximum strength.
You will need 2x M5x12 screws and 2x M5 hex nuts. M5 T nuts may work if you use a shim between the nut and pocket wall to hold it from rotating while you tighten the screw.
I have version 1 on my Ender 3 now which required too much force to get it into the T slots. This is v2 which has updated T detail geometry and a corner clearance to provide better fit in the slots. At the time of this posting I haven't printed this v2 file so I'm looking forward to feedback.
Install it with the nut pockets facing towards the front of the machine so the spool sits far enough up off your table surface.
