Due to a lack of vertical space I decided to mount my Ender 3's filament spool horizontally.
The design uses 5x 608 bearings to keep the rotation of the spool very fluid to make the Ender 3's life easier to feed the filament. The design is slightly overkill but I had the hardware to spare.
I would recommend using my Ender 3 Filament roller guide top with the -angled- upper filament guide to ensure smooth feeding of the filament.

Minimum hardware needed:
5x 608 bearings.
3x M5x20 nuts and bolts
For T-Slot mounting method:
2x M5 T-Nuts - These come with the Ender 3!
2x M5x15 bolts
For saddle mounting method (Optional):
4x M6x45 nuts and bolts, I would reccomend using 8x washers as well.
For a supported center (Optional):
1x M6x45 nut and bolt - the bolt head must fit into the top rail T-Slot
1x washer.
There are several versions and ways you can make this. See the table in the photos to see which ones to use f
