EDIT: added v2 brackets
- thinner mounting side, height reduces to 20mm
- thicker walls
- light switch mounted horizontally
- added ribs to strengthen the brackets
These are brackets for a led light bar mounted on top of the Ender 3 printer frame. The brackets fit to the side of the top frame, have a rocker switch to turn the light on and off.
I've connected mine to the printer power supply. Make sure you either have 24V led strips or you connect 2 12V led strips in series, (or use a dc-dc convertor).
I've printed mine in PETG on a Ender 3 v2.
Things you need for the assembly
The 2 brackets, left and right
Rocker switch, (19mm x 12mm )
18 mm aluminum led strip channel, 325mm length
24 led strip, approx. 300mm length (or 2 x 12v strips connected in series)
24awg wire
spade connectors for the power supply
I also used a small 2 pin molex connection near the light bar for serviceability
2 x M4 20mm screws
TODO: while the design works as is, there's a few things t
