Want to make a part which clips onto the built-in touchscreen mount for the Ender 3 S1 Pro? This project contains:
* STL and STEP files for the required mounting hardware
* a build123d parametric python file which generates the models, in case you need to tweak parameters
* STL file for a test print with the mounting hardware attached to a 3mm thick plate, for testing the fit without having to print your entire model.
This part is intended to be incorporated into a larger design, and to that end I have included a STEP file which preserves the original geometry, and should be easier to work with in most CAD applications.
I’ve successfully printed this part in PETG with 0.16mm layer height. It requires a little force to click into place but is then well held. The retaining flexures seem to have a good compromise between printability, flexibility and strength, but it’s still probably best not to clip and unclip the mount more than absolutely necessary.
