I liked the basic design by dkacor and tried using it for a while. I wanted to get the storage off of the top of the base extrusion as it seemed to be in the way at times. The only component I used from the original are the tabs to fit into the extrusion. The remaining was re-designed in Tinkercad. I felt comfortable with the amount and type of storage slots and carried them over.
