This things purpose it to offload the function of actuating the Y Limit switch on the Ender 3 (other similar printers as well) from the V-Wheel to a dedicated part that would bend as needed while still reliably actuating the limit switch. This thing is fairly small, and is the first revision.
I printed this part in Priline TPU, which is a bit stiffer than other TPU, to give a bit more flex than ABS or PLA, but I suppose that rigid plastic would work as intended as well. The legs on this thing should not be connected to each other at the top. After mine printed, I cut them apart with a razor so that the back leg would support and flex along with the actuator arm. The foot is simply attached to the bottom of the Y carriage with a small piece of double sided 3m sign tape. Since this part moves the actuation point toward the rear of the build surface, this part should address the issue of the Ender homing off the build surface only on the Y axis using the stock Y Limit switch mount
