Here is my version of linear rails mod. Y-travel 232mm
with covers and silent end stop.
12mm x 300mm rails
covers: use 4 pcs M4x25 + nut
y rail adapter use 8 pcs M5x10 + nut and 8 pcs M3x10
installation:
remove all rollers on the y travel 8pcs
mount 12mmx300 linera rail incl the blocks
measure 4.00mm from top of the frame 2020 profile when you tighten them
loosen all 4 corners of belt pulleys
lift the x gantry and slide the y rail adapters in place (with M5 nuts pressed/glued in place)
screw all M5x10 in lightly
align the rail blocks and screw all M3x10 in tight wile you press down on the gantry
push the gantry towards you to straighten it and the tighten the M5 bolts
lift the back pulleys and tighten them (to give clearance to the belt on the edge of the profile)
