Ender 5 Top Mount Filament Bracket

Update ... On request I made a version that should fit the Single rail of the Ender 5 Plus, I can not test it out as I do not have a E5 Plus ... yet! I would use a 40 to 50% infill or even make it 100% infill at the bottom as to support the weight ... should do it with no problems.



I designed this Thingi for my Direct Drive conversion of my Ender 5 Pro. This could be used to mount the filament above any of the Ender 5 series that you convert to Direct Drive and have a need to have the filament above the printer. This uses the stock mounting of the spool holder that comes from Creality and relocates it to the top of the printer. It extends the OEM spool holder 80mm taller and clears the extruder when it is used with the Direct drive kit. It uses the Y axis bracket to help support and stabilize the weight of a full spool of filament. I also used four M4x12mm hex head bolts with washer and nuts to secure it to the top rails of the printer frame.
