An Astartes Deathstorm Drop Pod proxy model for Epic scale games (40k or armageddon etc).
[update 20190927: added a v3 model with a touch more detail on the basis that i now have a resin printer than can handle it]
[update 20171021: ran both models through netfabb]
Is a single piece print, the base is a standard 'dreadnought sized base' (20x20mm).
Digging the support out from under the missiles is a tiny bit tiresome but nothing that can't be achieved without a hobby knife, so a 5 minute job which is the time it takes to print the base... deal.
is a spiritual remix of this drop pod (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1008271) and this whirlwind (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:619995) though i only used the missile cones from the whirlwind and the general airfoil blade shape from the drop pod. anyway they were inspirational, so thanks to the respective modellers.
the choice of a 4 blade drop pod over 5 was entirely aesthetics and is probably unfluffy. wanted something di
