I wanted a "Side Load Filament Switch" and "Filament Guide" for my Ender 3 and CR-10, the following is what I came up with using Fusion 360. At the suggestion of a user, Adjustable Filament Spool Tangle Detection as added.
I suspect it would work for most Creality 3D Printers, but It has only been installed it on an Ender 3 and CR-10.
This should work with newer 3D Printer Software. I am using it with just a battery and buzzer.
Advantages:
Side Load Filament
Very-very Little Drag
Filament Roller Guide
Filament Out Detection
Adjustable Filament Spool Tangle Detection
A single Switch Detects both Conditions
The switch can be avoided by routing Filament without engaging the switch
Required Hardware, or similar:
2 ea Fende
