Actually, I just wanted to build a simple alarm clock ...

So I made this Wifi enabled LED matrix clock.
It's controlled by an ESP8266. The LEDs are WS2812 5mm.

You can change the screens by tapping one of the 3 capacitive buttons on the top.

The software offers the following features:

- Time
- Weather information (condition & temperature, wind strength, humidity, pressure)
- Current Bitcoin price in €
- Facebook Friends (work in progress)
- Youtube subscribers (work in progress)

I'm working on a simple software framework, so everyone can easily implement his own animations.

The software will be published on GitHub soon!
