For me, development of an electronics project usually means my controller will be housed within another larger enclosure. I don't really need to box in the ESP32 board. In fact I prefer it visible. Similar to the carriers that come with many Arduino boards, this carrier is built for the very popular ESP32 boards. I purchased these breakout boards from Amazon in 3-Packs. They measure 63.25mm X 77.60mm. I will put a link to them at the end of this post. Even if you are not mounting your board in a larger enclosure it is always a good practice to protect the exposed pins on the back of the breakout board from short circuits. This could let the magic smoke out of these inexpensive controllers. This model does not block access to input ports on either side. It is a tool-less design. The board will snap into place and firmly remain there. There is an inverted ridge in the center of the holder that allows it to flex enough to get the board seated.
