I was always disappointed with the built-in camera of the BambuLab P1S printer. A framerate of 1s is not very satisfying. When I found the DFROBOT ESP32-S3 AI camera I decided that it could be a good choice for a live-streaming camera. Inspired by Breefube's camera enclosure, I designed a bracket for the DFROBOT camera for the front door of the P1S front door. As firmware for the camera I used the example provided by DFROBOT on their Github repo for a WebCam using the ESP32-S3 AI camera. It does stream the video over WiFi on port 21: I printed it in ABS, because I am using ABS a lot in my projects and a my first experience when printing it in PLA was that over time the bracket deformed easily, as the glass can get quite hot when printing with 240 C nozzle and 90 C print plate temperatures. Required parts beside of the 3D printed mounting bracket and lid: DFROBOT ESP32-S3 AI Camera Module 4 self tapping screws ⌀2mm max 6mm length Firmware provided by DFROBOT DFR1154_Examples 5.3 CameraWebServer For the mounting, the original screws of the glass door handle are used. For details see the provided assembly document.
