Espresso Dosing Cup 58mm

This is an Espresso Dosing Cup I made to use with my Rancilio Silvia Espresso machine and Rancilio Rocky grinder. It should fit any 58mm full size comercial portafilters. This cup will easily fit a dose large enough for a triple shot (21gm) and still fits nicely on the rails of my Rancilio Rocky grinder. The extra bonus of using a dosing cup with your portafilter, is that it can be used to lightly shake the grind in place to get rid of any clumping that can lead to channeling of your shot. Use with a small espresso scale and you will be able to have consistency, shot to shot.

The first file, Dosing Cup 58mm.stl, is dimensioned in the exact size for a zero clearance fit (actual diameter is 58.75mm). Since my printer yields parts that are slightly under size by around .04%, I provided another part file that is 59mm actual size as well, Dosing Cup 58mm +.stl

I used ABS plastic for this part. I recommend sealing the surface with an acetone rub to prevent any absorption of dry g
