This is a preliminary design of a cheap, lightweight FPV backpack. I wanted a system that was able to be carried by a variety of RC aircraft including my FT mini Scout and was also easy to assemble. Right now, this weighs in at 22g. It will simply be attached via a couple of slots on the airplane and a velcro "cable keeper" strap. I may add another piece of velcro under the case for a little more security, but I doubt it's necessary.
The camera, which is attached via a piece of double-stick foam tape, is powered off the VTX and the whole thing can be powered from the main flight battery or an independent 2S, 3S, 4S, 5S, or 6S lipo battery. The transmitter takes in anywhere from 7V to 24V and puts out a clean 5V to the camera. All of the parts can be purchased through Amazon which makes things easy.
I may eventually add a different camera mount that allows the angle to be adjusted. This would open up some additional mounting options and would be very useful on multirotors.
