Are your fingers sore?
Old, stiff molded-boots are no match for the Ethernet SlimJim.
Whether you are uncabling an entire data center or just a single appliance, this will save your fingertips for the important CLI work.
* Warning: this is a double-ended tool with sharp points - please use with caution!
From the top of the connector, align the fangs with the sides of the connector. push toward the connector to compress/unlock the connector clip, then pull out to release the connector.
From the side of the connector, align the pointy tooth with the bottom of the connector (this is the 'fulcrum'). align the long edge to the connector clip. push toward the connector and lever to compress/unlock the clip, then pull out to release the connector.
At design thickness, this tool handles bulk connectors/clips with ease, but it can also chisel into flimsy equipment faceplates, so please operate with care!!!
requires almost 2 meters @ 1.75 mm PLA filament to print.
