This is my design of a spool/filament holder with attachments to either mount them to the top of a prusa i3 or desktop. I use a 16mm bar stock cut from the steering shaft of a lawnmower....you may want to print one.
I designed the upper and lower in inches so it will probably have to be scaled by 25.4.
Holes are sized for 1/4" hardware.
EDIT: Uploaded R2 of the desktop base which rotates one side's mounting pad so identical upper supports can be used (rather the mirror of it) and added ribs for strength.
