GOTO telescope mounts such as the Explore Scientific Exos-2 are ideally suited for use in astrophotography. They are lightweight and easy to handle but as such they can be affected by outside forces such as wind or an unbalanced telescope. Another common cause of tracking issues involves the cables running to telescope heaters or cameras. If they snag on the telescope mount or even if they flex over parts of the mount, they can cause uneven forces that make tracking difficult. This bracket helps solve that problem by restraining the cables coming from the telescope to the 20mm diameter DEC pivot axis. This bracket grips the DEC shaft with two 4mm x 25mm screws. The cables are retained to this bracket with one or two wire ties. A very simple solution to greatly improve your telescopes tracking. I'll include a recent picture I've taken.
Please see the other parts I've designed to restrain cables at other locations on my mount.
Tips are always welcome!
