Exploring traditional japanese circular signs called Tomoe here designed with BySoft 7 / SolidWorks. For the POC simulation I used an Xpert40/1030 machine plus a mobile bending robot. From the bending and gripper handling perspective this is a very simple part and there should be no problems to realize this application with a small press brake and automation like the MBC. The automation is optional but who wants to bend more than 200 parts by hand :-) ? About the Tomoe in Japan: The tomoe emblem became a common emblem during the late Heian period (10th-11th centuries), and proliferated through to Kamakura times (1185–1333) . There are indications that there is a link between the tomoe and the Emperor Ōjin which could explain its rising popularity among samurai, because Ōjin was lauded as a god in Hachiman shrines. See the link of the video for the fascinating design method of these circles. (Which I did not use here)
