F-27 Solarrail

The F-27 was built entirely around the central rotary pulse cannon, a modified version of a light capital weapon. Early versions had only the main cannon, but later upgrades added a number of light repeaters clustered in the nose to give the pilot more options when servicing targets, as not every target requires a high speed barrage of phased plasma packets.

The Solarrail had a good reputation among fighter pilots during the mercenary incursions and was popular among mercenaries and government forces alike. The engine arrangement and thruster array made it a good dogfighter in skilled hands despite its size and mass. Many are still in active service today.
