F-505 Moorstalker

The F-505 was a small starfighter produced in very limited numbers on the outer rim as licensed 'kit fighters' built mainly by hobbyists and some small milita organizations on colonies too small or poor to afford a proper armed starfighter presence. Despite this undistinguished pedigree, the Moorhound gained a good reputation among the few pilots who had the chance to fly one. Used primarily as a defense and patrol craft during the mercenary incursions, Moorhounds were agile, quick, and forgiving to fly. Their highly customized nature led to a good deal of personalization, and F-505s were known to have cockpit fittings made from beautiful local hardwoods or seat material crafted from outer rim fauna skins. Touches like these made the little ships popular with collectors after the conflict ended and a number still fly in private hands.
