Update May 25: my printer is broken. I can no longer work on this as it is currently designed. I will try to provide a handmade alternative.
There are dog masks of N95 quality on the market however they are often either (1) not fitted to the face or (2) quite expensive. There are now confirmed cases of covid within domestic pet species. I would like to be able to take my service dog out and about with me during these times.
How to size for this mask will be based on measuring for a muzzle. You must measure based on the dog in a panting and relaxed position. This will remove the risk of injury and discomfort.
Due to the unique shape of a fitted mask on a dog, I suspect that two layers will be necessary. Also note that sewing will cause the material to be inappropriately permeated. You should add a safe glue to these sections to avoid the seam line being a weak location in the filtration process. A filter is only as strong as its weakest point.
Layer one is cloth. Please
