Facit 4070 Chad Box

This is a replacement chad box for a Facit 4070 paper tape punch. Second-hand machines often have this missing, which makes using them very messy! The one in the pictures is printed in all black; there is a front cutout to take a 39mm x 110mm strip of clear plastic to allow the level of chad in the box to be seen. It could have a different colour lid and body, or be painted to match the machine. An alternate file is included for the box body, without the window cutout, if you prefer a solid box or want to use transparent or translucent filament. To assemble it, glue the lid to the body, with the rounded corners to the front. Add the back panel with the ribs facing the inside of the box. The back can be glued, or the holes cleaned out & marked through, then body flanges drilled to suit small screws. Once assembled, it hangs on the lip at the front of the machine, with the back edge of the lid dropping in to the slot then the lower edge dropping under the front protrusion on the machine
