FAF-03 Reprisal

Reprisal type attack craft were developed in the core worlds for use as a modern jack-of-all-trades space fighter, and like all multirole designs did nothing as well as any dedicated craft in the same weight class. They were quickly moved to the surplus market as military thinking changed and they were replaced by more capable single-role ships.

However, mercenary companies loved the FAF-03 and purchased them in large numbers. While it wasn't as good of a fighter as a Skyrazor or as good an attack craft as a Hellray, it could do both jobs for the price of a single spaceframe. Many companies bought Reprisals and they were a common sight in mercenary squadrons during the incursions in the outer rim. Large numbers were made surplus by the end of the conflict and were sold off to rim governments, collectors, or other private military companies.
