For my greenhouse automation project I needed to mount a few small DC fans and I utilized OpenSCAD again to build it. The mount consists of a baseplate and two brackets.
The brackets fit in slots on both sides of the base plate and the fan is clamped in between them. This is supposed to be a tight fit but the initial versions were too tight. It took me two iterations of the brackets and three for the base plate to get them right.
All the resizing was done exclusively by changing variables, the code has remained the same. As such it should be possible to also use this for slightly bigger fans.
If needed you can use my customizable distance holder ( http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2277424 ) to mount them on the correct height. Have Fun!
