This is an entry for the Fan Showdown by Major Hardware on Youtube:

Im a learned technical productdesigner for machine construction from Germany and I work with Solidworks, so the example file from "Major Hardware" helped me greatly.
For my old company I did mainly sheeted metal construction so making a fan was absolutely new territory for me.
For the inspiration for the windographfan, as the name implies, was a windograph, also called ventografo that is used to meassure windspeeds. I thought to myself - This thing was designed to catch wind, it is propably also good in moving it. So I tried using the main form and twist and bend it, so it would more resemble a fan. I decided for three "blades" only, because I wanted to honor the original windograph, but as it seems, showing it off to some of my productdesigner friends, three blades would end up into a better airflow than more.
Nontheless I included both 3blade and 5blade design
