These medium sized predators are quick and agile capable of pouncing large distances and outrunning most of the fauna of the jungle. A large claw on their foot enables them to disembowel their prey and a row of sharp teeth to tear flesh. Their feather like crests are used for display purposes and come in a variety of colours. Its often easy to identify individuals among a pack by the colours of their crests as they come in unique patterns to each raptor.
