Festivus Pole

A Festivus for the rest of us! This is a desktop Festivus pole for all you Seinfeld fans out there wanting to celebrate the holiday this December. Air your grievances and challenge your friends and family to feats of strength! This pole is the perfect size for a desk, table or shelf. The base measures 4.5" square by 1" high, and you supply the aluminum pole (tubing), prized for its "very high strength-to-weight ratio." The pole in the picture is 12" long, but feel free to adjust as you see fit. I also made one for my wife with an 8" pole for her desk at work. The model is designed to use 3/4" aluminum tubing, and I sourced mine from Amazon (links below). It measured within a couple thousandths of .750" and is a friction fit with both the base and cap. Be sure to deburr/chamfer the edges of the tubing before assembly - I used a pipe reamer from my plumbing toolbox.
