I got bored of losing the “centre pieces” from my fidget spinners, and this is what I came up with. It's far from the most comfortable solution to the problem, but an m3x10 cap head bolt and associated nut fit neatly, and it spins just as freely as any friction fit solution. For the avoidance of doubt (MakerWorld won't let me set these in the BOM, presumably because they don't necessarily stock them, but they are readily available on the internet):m3x10 means a total length of around 13mm, 10mm of which is thread (the other 3mm being head). The nuts I used are 5.38mm and are a friction fit. Feel free to double check your own. This is designed for a standard skateboard bearing (22mm outer, 8mm inner, 7mm thickness) fidget spinner. It feels a bit bigger than most, that's because it accommodates the 3mm tall cap head, as well as the nut. There are friction fit solutions, I've grown very tired of trying to work with them. So long, and thanks for all the fish.
