Extend it, compress it, twist it, turn it! This design has a lot of print-in-place joints. After printing, ensure that it cools fully, and then patiently start to work each joint. Starting at the end, twist the joint backwards and forwards very slowly until it starts to move. Once you can turn it a full 360°, then it is safe to move to the next joint. The joints will loosen up with use. I do not recommend printing this with multiple colours on the Z axis (ie. do not print the bottom half in one colour and the top in another), as I have found that the joints tend to fuse. It can be printed with each ‘segment’ having its own colour (as shown in the B&W example). Obviously, this will take a lot longer to print.
