Filament Cleaning Filter Duo This filament cleaning filter is a new iteration of the Filament Cleaning Filter model that I discussed in a previous publication. That article provides detailed descriptions of materials, manufacturing features, and the assembly process, as well as a video with step-by-step instructions. The new model features fittings on both ends, allowing it to be directly connected to a filament dryer — a device that not only removes moisture but also feeds filament into the printer through a PTFE tube. Clean filament is a critical factor for successful 3D printing, especially when working on high-precision projects. Dust and small particles that accumulate on the surface of the filament can cause clogs in the nozzle, extruder gears, leading to feeding slippage, artifacts on the model, and even printing stoppages. The new filament filter is the perfect solution for those using dryers to feed filament, ensuring its cleanliness before it enters the extruder via the PTFE tube. Design Features Dual Fittings: The filter is equipped with fittings for securely connecting PTFE tubes with a 4 mm diameter. This makes it easy to integrate into the filament feeding chain. Filter Element: Made from fine-grained packaging foam, effectively capturing dust and small particles. Compact Design: The filter takes up minimal space, which is convenient for limited installation areas. Versatility: Suitable for any 3D printer with PTFE feeding, regardless of the manufacturer. Materials and Tools PTFE Tube Fittings with a 4 mm diameter (2 pcs). Foam with fine granules for filtration. Filter Housing: Printed from PETG to minimize friction and ensure reliability. Lubricant (Teflon-based) to simplify assembly and prevent misalignment. Vise or Press for securing the fittings in the housing. Filter Assembly Preparing the Filter Element: Use a 9 mm punch to cut a cylinder out of the foam. Make a cut to create a "booklet." Installing the Foam: Place the filter element in the cen
