Makes
-= v2.1 =-
- Improved tolerances so that the part just slides in without force
- Brought the bottom lip back by about 1mm so that it's not pressing against the metal thingymabob below
-= v2 =-
- Overtime the guide would sometimes bend upwards and break due to the tension from the filament. Changes has been made such that it also hooks onto the metal lip which should help in overall rigidity.
- Added cut holes for the washers
- Lowered the filament guide by about 2 mms to prevent any scratching with the filament feeder, which caused filament bits to be scraped off like powder over time.
- New design of guide shouldn't need supports anymore.
I liked the filament guide made by Jonasen, but it became loose easily as it relied on friction.
Using the design by Ian Crossley as reference, I mashed the two together and it's working brilliantly now.
Made in 3ds Max, because I'm a Game Developer and it's the only thing I know how to use (for now)
