Filament Pressure Sensor Vers. 2 for Ender Like Bowden Tube Extruder
=========================================================
I want to know the filament pressure in the nozzle and on the extruder and it proved valuable to recognize a bad print very early and suggest counter measures during the print.
Popular and cheap force sensors are known under the name "Load Cell", and here I show the potentially simplest possible pressure sensor setup. No moving parts, few external components, aimed at Arduino for data display and analysis or even Marvin integration.
This thing has basically one printed item that holds the Load Cell at the right position and also contains a little compartment for the instrumentation amplifier and ADC analog digital converter. The output signal of this block feeds into an Arduino for display and analysis or potentially for real-time counter measures in Marvin.
First results are available, the mechanical part is robust and reliable. A basic waveform
