Filament Rack Side Brackets

This model contains the two structural side brackets used to build a high-capacity wall-mounted filament rack. Each bracket is designed for 18 mm metal tubes (1.5 mm wall thickness recommended) that slide through the channels on each side to form a rigid support beam across standard stud spacing.For North America, cutting two tubes to 36 inches lines them up with typical 16" stud spacing for maximum strength. In other regions, simply cut your tubes to match local stud spacing so the brackets can be fastened directly into studs.When mounted correctly into studs, the pair of 18 mm tubes can support roughly 125 lb at center load or 250 lb when the weight is evenly distributed across the span. A full rack of 13 filament spools is only about 13 kg (~29 lb), which gives this setup a safety factor of around 9× for typical evenly distributed loading.Recommended Printing:PLA is more than strong enough for this application.Print with the flat back of the bracket on the build plate for maximu
