This is a simple way to display filament samples, so you can tell what's inside your filament storage units. This was designed to work with my Modular Filament Drawer System. You can attach this to your faceplates or integrate the design into your own faceplate. There are two ‘cover’ options, you can use either the ‘open’ or ‘panels’ version. It's just personal preference. You can mix and match base and cover colors for different looks. Each base is designed to hold 8 pieces of filament and the base attaches using M4 or #6 countersunk screws. The covers should snap in place and there's a recess on one side for using a screwdriver if it needs some help coming off. The covers are ‘keyed’ and only go on in one direction. My thinking was to make sure the recess was always in the same spot and if the filament is too long there is an opening on one side to allow for that. It's mostly just over-engineered.Each slot uses about 35mm worth of filament and you can cut it in place
