Currently designed for laser cutting, this design is intended for 1/8in (3.175mm) thick material. Tested in both ABS and Acrylic, ABS proved to be the best material so far.
No kerf allowance has been built in, so please make adjustments for your equipment.
You will need to cut your chosen design twice to make the sample reel. On the chance that the SVGs are scaled incorrectly during upload/download, each platter (the large disk that comprises the sides) should measure 180mm in diameter.
The following files are available in the download, please read each option to choose the best for you:
FilamentSampleReelA: This design has been optimized for shorter cutting and less material use, but weighs more. The clips are cut from the platter to save material.
FilamentSampleReelB: This design has been optimized for shorter cutting, but weighs more. The clips are cut separately, requiring more material, leaving the side platters whole.
