Filament Turntable

I wanted to have my Filament Spool on to of my printer enclosure in a seperate box together with drying agents. Also I needed a spool holder which rolls of easliy but with a controllable constant resistance. Therefore I created with Filament Turntable with a unrolling guide. The turntable sits on an vertical axis which is a M8 screw from the bottom. It rolls on two skateboard bearings. The Guide is designed to unroll the spool at halv the height and at a shallower than tangential angle to prevent knots. The resistance comes from a little pack of drying agend tucked under the egde of the spool to create friction on movement. In order to fit different size spools there is a collar-like piece that press fits the turntable on the inner side and the spool hole on the outer.

The Guide in the picture is an old version, but you need to adapt this guide to fit your spool anyway. This unspools at a height of 40mm and has an deep enough overhang to not interfere with full spools.
