Though a round bottomed remote may feel comfortable in your hand, you need to pick it up to use it rather than just hitting the buttons where it sits. I like to set the remote on the arm of my chair and just push a button without picking it up.
This remote cradle is specifically for a FireTV Cube and is about 6-1/4 inch (~15.9 cm) long. I used a jark22 model of one of the smaller FireTV remotes and manipulated it in Fudion360 to generate this model. (Thanks jark22.)
My trial print used PETG, but it was a bit too rigid and tight. My final print used TPU and is a tad bit looser than I would like, no changes to the model, just a change of filament material.
I found printing the cradle on its side minimized supports and generated a very clean product. I included some slicer and an actual photo during printing.
Enjoy one-finger button pushing on the FireTV remote until Amazon decides to make their remote with a flat bottom like every other remote I have.
