did you ever try to take those fishing rod holders with you in your fishing bag? they either puncture the bag or they puncture the bag AND your skin while carrying. so the simple thing to solve the problem is to print protectors for the tip of the holder.
i did them in tpu with zero tolerance, so they fit nice and snug on the holder.
