This is a 3D printed model of the modular origami design by Thomas Hull.

You will need 20 vertices and 30 edges. If you want to combine colours like I have, you'll need 4 vertices and 6 edges of each colour.

I suggest printing one vertex and one edge test piece first, to check that the fit is satisfactory. Some slicer setting changes may be needed if it is too loose or tight. What you're aiming for is a fairly tight interference fit, so that some force is needed to get it all together and the final model holds together without the need for glue.

The pieces can have a tendency to warp, so a brim is suggested.

Assembly of the final model can be a little intimidating at first, but instructions on how to assemble the origami design are widely available. It is in fact a bit easier since there is no need to fiddle with delicate paper flaps, or have joints coming apart while busy elsewhere.
