Wildfrost is a unique deckbuilding roguelike with tactical, turn-based gameplay, developed by Deadpan Games and Gaziter and published by Chucklefish. Set in a world locked in an eternal winter, players assume the role of powerful leaders who journey out from the last bastion of warmth, known as Snowdwell, to combat the Wildfrost—a malevolent force spreading frost and freezing everything in its path. The game combines deckbuilding with strategic battles, where players gather and upgrade unique cards representing allies, items, and magical effects. Each run involves choosing a tribe, each with its distinct abilities and leader characters, and building a deck with randomly generated companions, items, and charms. A key feature of Wildfrost is the town-building aspect. As players progress, they can unlock buildings and upgrades in Snowdwell, providing new card options, enhancements, and other strategic advantages for future runs. Charms are equippable trinkets that can change the behavior of a single card for the remainder of a run. They can be applied from one's Inventory between battles.
