This is a flanged vacuum port that can be used for vacuum tables, or any creation that requires a vacuum cleaner hose.
It will accept any hose from 28mm to 35mm, so should work with any domestic vacuum cleaner.
For the best results, I would suggest applying some sealant to the base before you screw it on. It's sturdy enough to handle a fair amount of rough treatment.
