Now updated to Version 2.
I recently got my first 3d printer, a Monoprice Voxel, which is a re-branded Flashforge Adventurer 3. The printer has a fully enclosed area to hold the filament spool.
I like the printer, but one of the downsides is that the enclosed spool holder only holds 0.5 kg spools. I bought a bunch of 1 kg spools so they have to go on an external spool holder, which is fine, but then the spool cover can't be put back on.
So for my first task, I designed a cover for the spool holder with an opening to feed the filament through. This is a work in progress. It could use some improvements. But I am putting it here in case anyone else finds it useful.
You will need to print 6 of the Long Bars, 2 of the Short Bars, 2 of the bar join vertical, and 1 of everything erlse.
Version 2 changes :
1. Split the cover into 5 pieces instead of 4, with a single piece for holding the sliding latch, so that the sliding latch is held more firmly.
2. Changed the fila
